Service requests
In conformity with Section 35 of the Road Transport Law, Cabinet Regulation No. 148 of 6 March 2018, Requirements for Receiving Special Authorisation (Licence) for the Planning Region and the City of the Republic and Procedures for Carriage of Passengers by Taxi for Commercial Carriage and Regulations Regarding the Issuing of Small Taxi Licences and Licences Cards of the Planning Region of Zemgale, with 1 May 2018, Special Permissions (Licences) and Licences for the Commercial Carriage of Passengers by Taxi shall be issued by the Planning Region of Zemgale.
To apply for licences and licence cards may:
1) by post to Zemgale Planning Region, Catholic Street 2b, Jelgava, LV3001
2) by sending applications signed with a secure electronic signature to e-mail: zpr@zpr.gov.lv or official electronic address (e-address)
3) by agreeing on another form of submission by calling specialists of the Public Transport and Road Development Division by telephone 63084948.

The decision regarding the granting of a special permit (licence) and a licence card shall be taken by the Zemgale Planning Region Taksometru Licensing Commission. The licence card shall be issued in accordance with the procedures specified in the document “Regulations” regarding the issuance of special permits (licences) and licence cards for passenger transport of passenger taxis of Zemgale Planning Region (see section “Other information” - “Legislative acts”).
